That connection eventually led me to create something of my own, combining comfort, durability, and respect for the environment. After years of searching for swimwear that felt as good as it looked, I knew it was time to create what I had always been missing.
I was truly naive about what was happening to our oceans. It wasn’t until a few years ago, when I started travelling to different places around the world, that I began to see firsthand what was going on.
It’s only when you’re faced with the reality that you might lose what you truly love that you start taking action. So, I did. I made a commitment to educate myself and spent months involved in conservation programs where I could make a small difference.
What inspired me most was seeing the destruction up close. Sea turtles surrounded by waste, plastic, and nets and leached coral reefs now barren landscapes that were once colourful homes to beautiful fish.
It broke my heart, and there were many moments of tears and hopelessness.

But the truth is, even though we may have passed a tipping point, every bit of support for the ocean can help. It might not reverse the damage, but it can slow down the direction we're heading.
My mission is to design products that raise awareness and support ocean conservation, rather than contributing to the problem.
This is why I started Salt & Skye. Each piece is made ethically, in small batches, designed to last, and with the planet in mind. A portion of every sale goes directly to ocean conservation efforts, so we can all make a difference—one swimsuit at a time.
Salt & Skye is designed to help you feel confident in your body, wherever you’re spending time in your swimsuit. You shouldn’t have to sacrifice comfort or style—I believe we can have both. Every detail is crafted to inspire confidence, support your adventures, and raise awareness about the impact of fashion on our planet.
Join me on this journey to create swimwear that doesn’t just feel good but does good, too—for you, for me, and for our oceans.
